New Season of Life

Have you ever felt like you just don't feel like you really belong or quite fit it anyplace?
I have been going through this for a while now, I am not quite sure why, but I am... I
have a wonderful husband who loves me so very much and I could never want or need more from him. His is truly a blessing and a gift from God in my life... I have four children now all married and doing alright. I have grandchildren that I adore, and yet there is this hole in my heart that is huge and lonely and quite dark at times. I have been pondering this with my husband and a dear friend and of course the Lord. I have come to the conclusion that God is wanting me to be utilized by Him in maybe some new ways. I only wished I knew what that was. Reflecting back on our (Dave and Me), prophetic word 9 years ago now, I believe that we are going to moving on into a new area of life in ministry as well. I am trusting for that as I feel as though we have much to offer our local church... We have come into the area of our life as our word spoke of in saying that we are going to become more available with our time and that is the case for both of us. Of course, anyone who knows Dave knows he is able to stay busy, but I am talking about being busy with Kingdom purposes know. We both have a heart for our local church and love our church and leaders quite a bit.
So if would lift us up in prayer as we continue to seek this new season in our lives we would greatly appreciate it. I trust God will show us in His time what we wanting to see unfold for us as a husband and wife and individually as well...God is good and we want to know that our lives here have been for His purposes and that He is well pleased with us.

Ressurection Day

Well we started off having coffee and Easter Braided Cheese Bread, a recipe shared by a friend and it is great tasting stuff...Sharing time with my husband is always a wonderful time for us...As we were sharing our coffee and cheese bread the phone started ringing
with a call from my father-in -law, our daughter Melisa and her beauties and my step-daughter from Canada and our grandchildren there all wishing Dave a Happy Birthday, yes it was Easter and also Dave's birthday. So Dave was wished Happy Birthday and was sung to first thing by little grandchildren, what a nice thing to happen.
So finally, I was able to say Happy Birthday to this great guy I am married to. He is a great husband, friend, father and grandfather as well... He is loved by his family and many friends and extended family...

Off to church to enjoy wonderful worship, thanks Daniel and crew... Worship was so
wonderful today, it was truly anointed. The kids in Friendship Clubhouse blessed us with really good songs, done well, thanks Mike... Oh yeh; and David Tomford brought one of his new lambs in with the skit and that was a huge hit, thanks David.
Followed by Pastor Mikes sharing and a new message for Easter, I was ministered to by his work again, thanks Pastor Mike...

Off back home to prepare for the 15 people that we are preparing dinner for. I had help this year, my daughter Kayla prepared a carrot cake and that is yummy and my daughter-in-law Julie contributed some cheesy potatoes and some deviled eggs. She is always willing to help out. Thanks Kayla and Julie for your help... So with all of our family here and extra folks from extended family and extra friends from church we proceeded to have a wonderful dinner... There is something special sharing a meal with others. I think this is meant to be a good thing from the beginning of time... I
love having times like this and it is special to share with family and friends....

So everyone is gone and we are back to me and my hubby sharing the remainder of our evening together, what a nice feeling... A great ending to a great day... Thank-You Lord for our family and friends and for the great Resurrection, the greatest gift of all....He has Risen Indeed.....

Yet Another LaFaver Wedding

I am very happy to be writing to share about our wonderful week-end... Our son Nathanael finally, after a three year relationship married a wonderful young woman, Sarah Ann Rowland... It truly was a good day.Nathan and Sarah meant three years ago in January, they had a long friendship relationship and then a year or so later they entered into a courtship on Valentines Day two years ago and two years later on March 1st the entered into marriage. I want to take a moment and say that they have both honored the Lord and their parent's in their relationship and kept them selves pure with each other. I am excited to see what the Lord has for them and Dave and I believe that great things are instore for them... It was soevident that the Holy Spirit was there and a few people mentioned that to us in the receiving line at the church. We are proud of you both, Nathan and Sarah and we love you both very much.

Needless to say that this event brought Melisa, John and 3 lovely little ladies around again. Those little ladies would be Hannah, Rachel and Sarah. All three of them had been asked to be the flower girls in their Uncle Nates and know Aunt Sarahs wedding... They were so adorable. We enjoyed our time with all of our children, Robert and Julie and Kayla and Jesse, we enjoyed being with you all and sharing time with you as family... This was really delightful for Dad and I and we enjoyed each and every one of you, we always look forward to family times... I must admit when we got home Sunday night we did look quite forward to getting our things taken care of and just sitting down in our new home in Madrid and just relax. Traveling is tiring...

It was wonderful to see so many people from our church travel to this event and for all of you who were able to make the trip and to be there to support Nate and Sarah, thank-you very much... I know that Nate and Sarah were quite happy about the support from family and church family and friends. Dave and I have come to realize just how important our church family is to us and to our children's lives too. Truly you all our family to us, we want you all to know how important you are to us, you all really are our family... About 3 or 4 years ago that was spoken in prophecy over one of our children... It was said like this "God wants you to know that in this church, this is your family, aunt's and uncles and grandparent's and so on and so forth, you are family here." That is truly comforting to all of us...
Thank-you for all of your support to Dave and I and each of our children and now extended family... It is greatly appreciated and it is not unnoticed....

On that note I will close my latest blog... Congratulations to you Nate and to you to Sarah LaFaver....
We love you both very much....

January and Still Busy!!!

I thought with all the Holidays behind us that the business would slow way down, not. We started off the new year with a trip down to our daughter Melisa's and our son-in-law Johns house in Jasper (near Corning). Our two grand daughters, Hannah and of course Rachel too, well they had a little play at their church were Melisa and their pastors wife have started a Friday School program through the church they attend and so we thought we would love to go and support them, so we did. It was fun... Well Dave and I and Robert and Julie and Nathan and Sarah(Nate's soon to be wife) we all decided to go together and we had a great time too... We had fun and of course Melisa and John were so good to us and they worked really hard at putting so many of us up and we were fed good as well. After the girls play that night we went back to Melisa and Johns and we had many good snacks that we had prepared, yummy... The next day was New Year's Day and I had ordered to bring with us some Prime Rib and Melisa made twice baked potatoes and and veggies and oh yeh I made some small crocks of french onion soup too. We had cheesecakes for desert, it was all good.
The food was good the play was cute and family time, well that is just the best of all. We all had a wonderful time and it ended much too quickly... Thanks John and Melisa for your hospitality... Oh yeh, time with the girls, well that was the best...

Then we have been busy with our Anniversay and two grand girls birthday too... A good friend of mine is in the hospital and she really needs prayer...I have been trying to help her too. We
had our 26th Anniversary on the 22nd of January. We ended up going to my friends house her has been sick and in the hospital and was now out, yet still in trouble and so we went there and I spent the night with her and she is back in the hospital again for another stay...So the next day, our lovely daughter Kayla and her husband Jesse invited us and we went over with Nate too and she made us a nice dinner for our Anniversary. She did a good job and we had a really good time with both of them and Nate too, we all know he is entertaining..
Thanks Kayla and Jesse... My husband purchased a new gas fireplace for us for our Anniversary, we love it and it is a good thing as that evening and last night remember it was cold, well our blower on our furnace decided to act up, thank God we had this fireplace... Andy Dennis was kind enough to come over at 11pm. we thought it was fixed but in the night it quit again so he came back this morning and it is up and running once again.

We moved into Madrid back in November and Dave and I are doing good with the move. I wondered how it would be, the house we left was new and everything was in place and it was a very warm house, so I had wondered how comfortable it would be, but I really felt as though the Lord really spoke to me this summer while we were camping and was saying this was the time to move, see we knew we were going to move we just weren't sure about the timing, but when God speaks we shouldn't question and so it has been a fairly easy transition for us...We have settled in and are happy and contented and loving our time together in life living alone for the very first time since we have been married...It was an adjustment, but we are good to go now... God is good and there are many seasons of a person's life...Enjoy each one as it comes, for surely they are coming and that is a part of each of our lives...

Getting Settled Back In Again...

With all the Holidays behind us and our move getting settled (some what) , the busyness has
slowed down so much. I know some people have commented on how bored they seem with all
the hustle and bustle behind them, I seem to enjoying it very much. Maybe because the people
I am talking to are all quite a bit younger than me. Anyhow I am quite happy things have slowed down at least for a little while. See we have yet another LaFaver wedding planned for the 1st of March, yes Nate will be marrying Sarah Rowland. The plans are underway right now. Myself and some of the girls in the wedding party will be giving a bridal shower for Sarah in February sometime. They will be living in Potsdam where Nate and Kyle live right now, except Kyle will be moving out...Sarah is a lovely girl and she will make a great wife for Nathan and she will be a lovely daughter in law too.

This has been a very busy season for Dave and me. With our move, before that happened, my
husband was working full time for himself and every night down here working quite hard. He is
a very diligent man and when there is a job to be done, Dave will not be found shirking the task.
We still have many things to be done here. When you drive by you will notice our house is not
quite finished.... With Dave being a painter and all, our house should look a little different. It
will be taken care of in the spring. We have still some task to be taken care of inside as well. I
am confident it will all happen... Right now though, my husband was suppose to be working at
taking care of some things inside, but God has blessed him with work, and lots of it, inside for
the winter months. That truly is a blessing for us... We serve a good God....

I suppose it is back to Friday School very soon. It is always nice to have the winter break. I am
sure the kids had plenty of snow for skiing this year, unlike last year. I am happy for the snow,
our kids use to love going skiing at Titus. Anyhow we will be back at School soon...
